Welcome, Livingston minds, to the "Wellness Wonders" contest! We invite you to embark on a creative journey to explore and share what wellness means to you. Whether through words or art, this contest is all about expressing your unique perspective on well-being in a way that excites and inspires.
Contest Categories:
Essay Wonderland:
Let your thoughts flow like a river of ideas! Write a captivating essay (limit 500 words) that dives into what wellness means to you. Share personal experiences, tips, and tricks for a happy and healthy lifestyle. Make it fun, insightful, and full of your own unique voice.
Artistic Bliss:
Unleash your creativity on paper or canvas! Create a drawing, painting, or collage that visually represents your interpretation of wellness. Use vibrant colors, imaginative scenes, and symbols that reflect your idea of a healthy and balanced life.
Guidelines for Submissions:

Submissions should be original and reflect your own thoughts and creativity

Essays should be typed or neatly handwritten

Artwork should be submitted as a high-quality photograph or scan with or without the original

Submissions must include name, age, (grade when applicable) and contact information

Early Childhood: Ages 0-5

Your submissions may potentially be showcased in local businesses, as public posters, newspapers and social media platforms to celebrate your creativity and message with a wider audience
Submission Deadline:
5pm on February 26, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
How to Submit Essay:
Hand-deliver essay submissions to Elk River Books, 122 S. 2nd Street, during normal business hours. Essay submissions must also be emailed to communitywellnesscontest@gmail.com with the subject line "Wellness Wonders Contest Entry." Please remember to include your name, age, and contact information on your essay.
How to Submit Art:
Hand-deliver art submissions to Parks Reece Gallery, 119 S. Main Street, during normal business hours. Art submissions must also be scanned and emailed to communitywellnesscontest@gmail.com with the subject line "Wellness Wonders Contest Entry." Please remember to include your name, age, and contact information on your artwork.
Judging Criteria:
Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, expression of ideas, and adherence to the theme. Our panel of judges may include experts in wellness, education, writing and the arts.
